What is SHAPE PT?
SHAPE PT was started by Sarah and Lisa - two moms each with little kids living in Broomfield and wanting to give back to the community. We met working in an insurance-based model outpatient orthopedic clinic 9 years ago. We have grown to understand the profession inside and out and believe that SHAPE can offer you services above and beyond what conventional physical therapy can. We are designed for the person wanting to get better and understands the value of physical therapy, the value of their own time, and the value of the one body they get in this life.
Lisa Corken, PT, DPT
Lisa has been working in outpatient orthopedics since 2013 with all patient ages, injuries and activity levels. Her passion lies in injury prevention and movement efficiency. She wants you to be strong in the way your body wants to move and only changes your form if absolutely necessary. She takes every individual case and combines lifetime history with a physical exam to provide you the hands on care you need and the exercises that will help you keep doing the things you love whether it is running, cycling, climbing, or whatever Colorado has to offer.
Lisa lives in Broomfield with her husband and three kids. They love cycling in the summer, skiing in the winter, and playing every sport possible. She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, went to Indiana University for her Bachelors in Exercise Science and then graduated from Northwestern University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. She moved to Colorado right after graduation.
Lisa’s continuing education has included certifications in Level I and II Dry Needling, running analysis, vestibular training, manual therapy and more. She loves working with the motivated client and truly invests her knowledge, time, and expertise to achieve whatever goals you have in mind. Her favorite cases are the “unsolvable” because she absolutely loves puzzles. She will not only help alleviate your acute impairments, but find you simple routines and adjustments to reduce them from recurring. Her passion truly is client education about their own anatomy and how their body works
Sarah Rottler, PT, DPT
Sarah completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in 2012 at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics since graduating and has treated a multitude of injuries. She truly takes a hands on approach with all patients and understands that no two patients are alike. She believes that a combination of manual therapy and exercise program are the keys to being successful in prevention or recovery. She personally has had multiple orthopedic surgeries and fully understands what it takes to get back to 100%. Her main focus is getting patients back to their goals, whether that is to backcountry ski, run a 5K, get off the floor to play with their kids or just prevent injuries.
Sarah has completed multiple continuing education courses over the last 10 years and is certified in Functional Dry Needling Level 1 & 2. Sarah is now offering pelvic floor physical therapy! She completed her Level 1 Pelvic Floor Certification through Herman and Wallace Institute. She is qualified to treat all women’s health conditions especially pregnancy-related pain, postpartum, return to activity, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain and pelvic organ prolapse.
Sarah is originally from Rhode Island but has been living in CO for the last 9 years. Sarah currently lives in Broomfield with her husband, 3 kids and their 2 dogs. They love to ski, hike, bike, run and enjoy as much of the CO sun as they can.
Testimonials
“Lisa is amazing. She diagnosed the root cause of my back pain and virtually eliminated it in one visit. Would very highly recommend!” - A.M.
“Thank you, Lisa, for giving me my life back! I had suffered for over almost 4 months with severe, unrelenting back pain which started on the left side of my waist, ran down my buttocks with an electrical shock feeling going down my left leg to my foot. I could barely walk across the room. I had seen 2 doctors and had undergone frequent physical therapy treatments for months with no improvement. My physical therapist finally told me that it was the arthritis in my back and that I would just have to live with this. Thank goodness I found Lisa. After only 3 weeks, and 6 treatments I have my life back. I am so glad that I didn’t give up. Lisa is amazing, she found the spots that were causing the pain and one by one got rid of them with physical therapy and exercises. I am back to walking wherever I want and hiking the mountains. Lisa gave me my life back!” - C.P.
